In the early days of the 2020 pandemic, legendary artist, musician, author and provocateur Lydia Lunch invited me as a guest on The Lydian Spin, her podcast with Retrovirus bandmate Tim Dahl. We sat in the kitchen of performance artist Ron Athey and talked about my early film and musical influences (bubblegum, glam rock and Brave New Waves), family trauma, my book House of Psychotic Women and other projects I have in the works. David Yow from the Jesus Lizard was there and we kept saying, “What do you think about this thing, it’s just a cold, right?” Little did we know that within a matter of days all of our lives would change significantly.
